Lic.# PSY29404
As a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience, I graduated from the University of California, Riverside, with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and law and society. My professional journey includes five years in a correctional facility, coupled with over ten years of expertise in individual therapy and psychological evaluations. Specializing in neurodevelopmetal evaluations, such as Autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, my commitment extends to forensic services like competency to stand trial and conservatorship evaluations.
In my free time, I find joy in spending quality moments with my family, embracing outdoor activities, and cultivating meaningful connections with friends. Whether it’s hiking through nature, engaging in exercise routines, or relishing in the pleasure of dining out, I value a well-rounded life outside the realm of psychology.
I take pride in my diverse experience and collaborations with clinicians, continually enhancing my skills and knowledge. Committed to staying at the forefront of the field, I thrive on continuous learning, ensuring that my evaluations and insights remain cutting-edge. I am dedicated to providing exceptional psychological evaluations, individual therapy, supervision, training, and consultation services, contributing to the dynamic and evolving landscape of clinical psychology.

Dr. Marcy Steven, Ph.D
Registered Psychological Associate
Board No. 94025321
I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. I completed my pre doctoral and postdoctoral education hours at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Fresno. The education I received in neuropsychological and clinical assessment, research, and medical professional collaboration, at UCSF has been invaluable to my work. I currently appreciate the opportunity to work at Seeds of Hope, especially with Dr. Judy Chang leading our group. Our group of clinicians pride ourselves in careful collaborative and comprehensive clinical evaluation of every client.
Throughout my professional career I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of age groups, forensic populations in prison stings, as well as culturally diverse populations. I have had the honor of collaborating with multidisciplinary community service teams to eradicate psychological, physical, and financial abuse of vulnerable elders as well as those who have been underserved by our social services system. My work experience has lent me the opportunity to author, coordinate, and participate in several state and federal grant projects (E.g., Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Aging, and Office for Victims of Crime) to help fill in the gaps for needed community services and prevent further abuse, harm, and neglect.
My belief as a therapist is that each person’s story is unique and to be valued without judgement. My work is centred around helping to restore internal confidence, freedom, and thoughtful evaluation of how to handle life circumstances we have been given.
I am a mother to an incredible son, a wife to an amazing husband as well as a cat mom to several furry felines. I enjoy cooking, decorating our home for various seasons, and exercising as much as I can so I can keep up with my hectic personal and work schedules.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work at Seeds of Hope Psychological Center, PC, under the leadership of Dr. Judy Chang. Currently, I provide individual therapy to diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults. Additionally, I conduct psychological assessments (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and diagnostic clarifications).
My educational background includes the attainment of a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, as well as, completing undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. During my internship at Porterville Developmental Center (PDC), an APA accredited institution, I delivered individual and group psychotherapy services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with mental health issues, such as sex offenses, dual diagnoses, and various degrees of civil commitments.
Over the course of my professional journey, I have had the privilege of providing mental health services in diverse settings, including community mental health, school-based environments, and correctional facilities. In these roles, I have conducted both individual and group sessions, facilitated sexual awareness and juvenile sex offender treatment groups, offered counseling and guidance to elementary students with behavioral and educational needs, and engaged in crisis intervention.
In my leisure time, I find enjoyment in spending time with my family and traveling.
